 Font Reasearch and Ideas For My School Magazine

For the masthead I chose GQ as my inspiration for the font I would use. I am a big fan of the smooth font with few sharp edges. With further research I found that GQ made a custom font so I searched for similar fonts. Some similar fonts I found “Arial Rounded MT”, “Ahroni”, “Lao UI” and “Nirmala Text”. I ended up choosing “Arial Rounded MT” for the Masthead

For the fonts that were going to be used in the articles I didn’t really have any particular inspiration or magazines that I wanted to do something to, so I went and looked through many different fonts and although there wasn’t any in particular that stuck out to me I thought that the fonts with more lines and sharp edges would work very well in contrast to other fonts in the magazine. I used this Forbes magazine as an example of the kind of font I would like to use. After looking through the fonts that I thought would suit this id
ea I finally settled on the font “Constantia”.
