Justifying my magazine choices
For the front cover I chose to do a picture of the front of the school from a low angle. I think that this worked because it shows the front of the school and gives it a grand feel. The low shot also works very well here because if the picture was shot from another angle, then the front of the school would not have been able to have totally been seen so part of the roof would have been cut off of the magazine. This would have not looked professional at all, so I am happy with how this picture turned out.
On the back
of my magazine I had both of the pictures in the opposite corners with the text also alternating. I think this
works well because it adds variety to the magazine and keeps it fresh for the
reader. As English readers we naturally read from the left to the right so we
will first notice the picture/text on the left of the page. Having the text on
the left side will entice the reader to look at it and read through it. Having
the image below this instead of more text will have the text feel less stale
and overused to the reader because there is not so much of it in one space.
